Blog 8: English Language Challenges

Imagen
Hello everyone, in this blog eight i will write about english language challenges.  For me the English language is a challenge, I think it is a super necessary and useful tool, even more so as we grow and we must use it to communicate. In the university I am in English four, where I went through 3 more English courses and I think they teach the basics of the language, I find it difficult to put into practice "listening and speaking" in English, more if the education we are receiving is a method "Online", due to the covid pandemic. Only in English four have taught me the use of blogs, I think it is a good learning tool, where each one advances a little more in vocabulary, which in the long term will serve to communicate. Being honest with myself, I think I know the basics of the language, I know it is difficult for me to recognize the tenses and use them correctly and my goal of studying English has always been that. To improve and advance in communicating...

Blog 7: Changes to my study programme

Imagen
Hello everyone, in this blog seven i will write about changes to my study programme. First of all, I study geography at the University of Chile, geography is the science that studies the earth, both physical and human. The truth is that I like the course a lot and I don't know if there are subjects that we should change, maybe the branches of the first semester are of a common plan and therefore they are not so aligned to the race as such. The race has subjects of the 3 main aspects in geography, such as human geography, physical geography and cartography and they increase in level as soon as you advance in the race. The degree lasts 5 years, and I am in my second year now, my university experience has been mostly online, so my opinions are with the online educational system, it is not a career with so much academic load, if one is well organized, it is possible to cope with it. Most of the evaluations are works in report plan or investigations, where the teaching methods they...

Blog 6: Time travel to the future

Imagen
Hello everyone, in this blog six i will write about time travel to the future.  The truth is I don't know if I would like to take a trip back in time to the future, I prefer not to find out about the things that are going to happen.  But if this is the case, I would like to travel to the future where I am right now, in about 100 more years, at my home in Santiago de Chile, perhaps at the same time that I am writing the blog, where it is 12 o'clock. on a Thursday night, to see if we can stop the destruction of our planet and the unsustainable advance of climate change. I would like to find out if we could really stop polluting and destroying the natural resources that sustain us, stop hurting planet earth and its nature. I wouldn't want to stay there, or maybe I would, in the event that the planet has been saved from climate change and human destruction. With a population aware and careful of what surrounds us, being aware of the value and care of the territory, that co...

Imagen
Hello everyone, in this blog five i will write about my future job. In my future job I would like to work in some area of geography related to the environment, where I can try to protect and take care of the ecosystem that surrounds us. For that I want to continue studying after graduating as a geographer, related to physical geography and specifically in environmental planning, I still don't know the specialty itself very well, but I know that I want to emphasize the protection and care of the environment. That is why in my future job I want to help prevent damage to the environment, face, remedy and regulate damage to the ecosystem. The type of job that I would like to have is outdoors, in nature, with a salary that is within the norm and gives me to survive well. The truth is, I think that we would all like to travel a lot at job, traveling often involves "mini vacations" and if I would like to travel at my job, but I plan in the south of our country when I fin...

Blog Post 4: My profession

Imagen
Hello everyone, in this blog 4 i will write about my profession. I am studying geography at the University of Chile. The career studies the link between society and nature in relation to territorial phenomena and processes, dividing its studies into physical geography, social geography and territorial analysis. What I like most about my career is the study of the surface in connection with societies and the territory of the earth, since the human being is a complex being and makes the study more difficult, it constantly evolves, due to this, is that one must adapt all the time. The Human beings always transform or modify the geographic space on which they settle, reflecting their structures and social processes, in fact, currently, one of the biggest problems is global warming, increased temperature, a product of the over-exploitation of the natural resources of the earth, one of the human activities.  It is a matter of greater importance, since there is no more time to change our ...

Hello, in the post four, i will write about my pet, the truth is that I like all animals and my favorites are dogs, I am a "doglover". My pet is a 4-year-old dog, her name is “Bengi”, my brother rescued her in the region of “La Araucanía”, in Pitrufquén, at first I took her to the vet and they thought she was male, that's why I call her “Bengi”, but later we discovered that she was female and she kept her same name. Bengi lived with my brother in the south for a year, then my brother came to Santiago to live, so we took my dog to the country to live with my grandmother, my pet lived with my grandmother for almost two years, there she had more space, so ran away. Since Bengi was running away from her, we decided to bring her to my house in San Bernardo this year, in the month of July. My dog has lived with me for two months and I am very happy about that, my dog is very affectionate, in fact she is sometimes harassed by so much love that she gives, but I see her very h...

Blog post 2: The best holidays ever

Imagen
Hello, In this second blog I am going to write about the best holidays ever that were in the summer of 2019, in the month of February, I went to Punta Arenas, the Magallanes region of Chile, where I traveled by plane for 3 hours from Santiago with my brother and my mom. On the trip we visited the “Torres del Paine National Park”, where we reached the wonderful peaks that have the name of the park, where we walked for more than ten hours to get to the blog postcard. That day was the hottest of the year in the region, which meant that we saw the peaks clear and we enjoyed the road. This trip meant a lot to me by being with my family in one of the wonders of the world. The truth is that trekking is very hard, my advice is to practice before visiting it, they advised me to ride a bike a lot for the resistance of the climb to Torres del Paine. You will not regret visiting the park, Thank you very much for reading!
